Black Fades

Black Fades is the collaborative project of Brighton-based producers Ben Hunt and Carl Airsine, born from a shared love of gothic atmospheres, post-punk textures, and their signature low-BPM electronic sound. The partnership began when Carl remixed Ben’s track Spellbound, steering it into a guitar-driven territory that sparked the idea for a joint project. Over a few pints in a Preston Park boozer, the pair plotted an EP of tracks that resist pigeonholing, influenced by everyone from The Chemical Brothers through to US rockers Slint. With Carl on bass and guitar and the pair divvying up production duties, the result is a dark, genre-blurring statement of intent.
