OUT NOW – Klark Bent – Spooky Action + Lokokos Remix

Klark Bent’s Spooky Action is a deep, immersive exploration of texture and rhythm, firmly planting itself in the adventurous ethos of the Freebooter Lounge.

The production immediately captures attention with its subtle interplay of atmosphere and pulse. Anchored by a warm, rolling low end, Spooky Action layers eerie synth motifs, shadowy tones, and intricate percussive details that create both tension and release. The track’s name is fitting – there’s a sense of ghostly movement at play, as if elements phase in and out of the mix with an otherworldly logic, keeping the listener suspended between familiarity and surprise.

Klark Bent demonstrates a refined command of space and dynamics here. The mix breathes, with each element given room to shift and shimmer, while the forward momentum never wavers. It’s a work that balances cerebral listening with club-ready weight—a piece as compelling on a darkened dancefloor as it is in solitary, late-night listening.

The Freebooter Lounge continues to position itself as a label unafraid to release tracks that are both innovative and emotionally resonant. Klark Bent delivers a standout cut that lingers in the mind, a sophisticated blend of groove and mystery that will resonate with audiences long after the final beat fades. A Freebooter debut for Lokokos on remix duties and they deliver 100% – polished, punchy and packed full of surprises.
