DJ Ging’s journey into music began with playing bass in local bands and evolved through his discovery of Northern Ireland’s dance scene. His time at art college and experiences at venues like the Ulster Hall and Circus Circus helped shape his taste, exposing him to a wide range of dance music and influential DJs.
The sense of connection on the dancefloor, where people from different backgrounds came together, left a strong impression. Over time, Ging explored techno and acid techno, experimenting with live hardware like the Roland TR-909 and TB-303. Collaborations with friends, including Robin Wylie, and gigs under the name Touched & Crazy marked a creative period in his development.
As a resident DJ at Plan-B, Ging continues to share his evolving sound—mixing driving techno with more introspective, downtempo elements. His sets reflect years of experience and a clear love for the music.
Plan-B, founded by Aidy McLaughlin and the late David Anderson, remains central to this story. It’s a place that values community and creativity, where DJs like Ging continue to contribute to a meaningful local scene.
