Unit 4

Unit 4 is a British electronic music project by Paul Briggs.

Paul is a Accrington-based DJ and producer and has been involved in music for over 30 years. From the early days as a DJ promoting events locally and playing the live circuit with various bands to more recent DJ bookings at venues such as Sheaf Street, Freight Island, The Golden Lion and the now legendary Plan B Masonic Hall parties, Paul’s passion for music has always been strong. During the lockdown Paul turned his energies to running the online radio station Rising Edge Radio which soon became a hugely popular source of entertainment and ran 3 times weekly for four years. Paul has also promoted events under the Rising Edge name, and more recently as Double Vision. Paul has now turned his creative energies towards music production. In the studio, he has crafted a signature cosmic sound that blends influences including house music, disco & synthwave, always with a dance floor in mind.

The next chapter sees Paul preparing to take the music to a live environment. Unit 4 employs the musical services of former Downdime members Liz & RDZ (Synths & Bass Guitar respectively) with a plan to be playing out live very soon.
