Cafe del Mar loving Visions Of Light.
Those wonderful folk at Cafe del Mar have produced new spotify playlist called ‘Best Ibiza chillout, ambient, downtempo and lounge tracks from 2025 and classics from the past’ and in at number 8 is ‘Platform’ by Visions Of Light taken from ‘Swimming In A Sea Of Stars’.
Visions Of Light are alongside many legends including Zero 7, Soul II Soul, Moby, Groove Armada, Leftfield, Tangerine Dream, Derrick May, Todd Terje, Saint Etienne, Sebastian Tellier, Aphex Twin, DJ Shadow, Bonobo, Nightmares On Wax, Guy Called Gerald, Future Sound Of London, Royksoop and many many more.
With Swimming in a Sea of Stars, Visions Of Light have played, chopped and sliced together an EP that perfectly aligns with Café del Mar’s legacy of soundtracking the world’s most iconic sunsets with each track bringing something different to the table. There’s the slow-motion glide of La Denses Secrète and the sparkling beauty of Hand Full Of Gems. Platform and Seed blend elements of Electronica with live guitar and keys into a Balearic gumbo and it all wraps up with Calling Malmö, a gentle, emotional closer that feels like drifting toward a place you’ve never been, but somehow know.
Released over 3 dates August 22nd, September 5th with full release landing September 19th . One for fans of mellow soundscapes and golden hour sunsets.
