Visions of Light brings together Simon Sheldon, Muzka and Dan Dub Lounge, three artists united by a shared love of emotive, live-focused electronic music. Simon brings over 30 years of production experience and leads The Freebooter Lounge collective, where all three regularly collaborate. Muzka is a long-standing Belfast DJ known for his eclectic, free-flowing selections, while Dan, a self-taught producer and bassist, draws influence from psychedelic rock, ambient and electronic music.

The project formed naturally, with Simon and Muzka discussing a live-driven collaboration before quickly bringing Dan into the fold. From the outset, the ethos has been simple: no egos, no limits — just honest, expressive music shaped by instinct, experience and shared trust.

Following their 2025 debut album The Mandala Vortex, Blue Monday (Lunes Azul) sees Visions of Light slow the pace and soften the edges of a much-loved original. Machine-driven urgency is replaced with gentle pulses, warm textures and widescreen chords. The familiar melody is allowed to drift rather than drive, revealing a more reflective, inward-facing mood that feels perfectly suited to sunset terraces and unhurried listening.

This is a respectful and thoughtful rework that brings New Order’s blueprint into the NuNorthern Soul universe with subtlety and style — mellow, expansive and quietly confident.
